Restorative Practice
We are working towards being a restorative school and in turn being a restoractive class. By thinking restoratively we can work towards building positive relationships between each other.
The Giraffe is our restorative practice mascot as it has the biggest heart of all the land animals. Kindness is also something we talk a lot about in class and we value it very much.

Our Feelings.
In order to be restoractive we need to understand our feelings. By understanding our feelings and talking about them we can in turn begin to understand the feelings of others. We read the story 'My Many Coloured Days' by Dr. Seuss. It helped us explore our feelings through colours.
Each morning when we sign into class we share how we are feeling by placing our lollipop stick in the matching bucket according to the colours in the story.
Love Bomb
One of our recent restorative practice lessons involved us learning about a love bomb. A love bomb is a way of showing love with somebody. We can love bomb someone at any time (you don't a reason) but we love bomb especially if someone is feeling low or sad to let them know that they are loved and treasured.
We talked about the word 'compliment' and what it means. We gave each other some compliments and drew some pictures and wrote some compliment sentences to describe what the word compliment is further.

Love Bomb- the big event
We came up with the idea to love bomb someone altogether as a class. It was easy to decide who.......Louise. Louise is an amazing person. She is so kind and caring and adds so much to our classroom environment. Thank you Louise for everything you do!! We love you!
